Pine wood derby

Thursday was our wards pine wood derby. Tyler got to participate because they figured his birthday was close enough (tomorrow.) Brad and Tyler had alot of fun making and painting the car. Tyler named the car the "Scraponater" ( after our dog Scrappy.) His car won alot of races but didn't win in the finals . It did get an award for the most futuristic. I am one of the den leaders for the wolfs so I'm excited that Tyler is going to be in my pack.

Money!

Brad and I went to a Engenuity Symposium last Friday in Salt Lake. We always like going to these because they always give us good ideas for our business and in all areas of are life. One of the handouts had some questions that I thought were great to think about so I decided to share them with you:

Spring Break

Well over spring break we took the kids up north. We stopped at Jen and Beau's and visited with their family for awhile in Lehi and then headed to Salt Lake. We took our kids to temple square to look around and watch the Testament. On Friday we went to Disney on ice and pigged out at Applebees. Saturday we went to Logan and visited Adam and Martha and their kids. Principal Adam took us to his school and the kids had fun in the gym while Brad climbed a big long rope that lead to the ceiling and yes, Brad made it to the top. We also went for a tour of their new house. The kids had alot of fun because it is on 1 acre and has tons of grass and a big playground area. We also visited our friends Brian and Shawna that live in Logan. On Sunday we went to their Dairy farm and they showed us how they milked the cows and my boys got to pet them. Tyler and Kyle both want to be farmers and so we thought taking them to actually see them and see how they smell would change their minds but it didn't. They talked about the farms they are going to have the whole way back to St. George. Hey mom and dad, you need to have a farm in Beaver so my boys can come up and be farmers. Anyway, we had a fun trip but it's good to be back.

Such a nice day.

The weather has been so nice lately. We all got together for a picnic at the park. It was alot of fun relaxing in the sun.

1- Don't feed me cheesy broccoli tuna helper. I won't eat it. I had an over dose early on in my marriage.

2- I enjoy helping people that are willing and excited about helping themselves. Helpless victims irritate the crap out of me.

3- I'm passionate about liberty! I used to think that socialism was when the neighborhood got together for a barbeque, but now I realize the government is seizing our liberty one new law at a time. The thing about the government/politicians that bugs me the most is that they want full stewardship of our individual lives. I'm fighting against government control in my life. I will not trade my liberty for a false sense of security. (do I sound like a WACK-O ?????)

4- When I install a new toilet I like to be the first person to pee in it.

5- My kolbe index test results indicate that I'm an absolute genious capable of anything! (j/k) My test said that my abilities is taking a good plan and putting it into action and seeing it to completion. That's why me and Sara get along so well because she likes to analyze and to see what needs done then she gives me the hunny do list.

6- I've recently joined the SSAA (The spider solitaire anonymous association.)

So, I've been tagged. Some things that you may not know about me:

1- I'm a clean freak! I can't leave the house or go to bed unless my house is clean. Brad used to go around behind me and mess the pillows up on the couch. It would drive me crazy. I couldn't sleep until I straightened them.

2- My favorite treat is a big spoonful of peanut butter with choclate chips stacked on top. I love anything with peanut butter in it.

Snow

It snowed here Wednesday morning. This is Kyle in our front yard. The snow was fun but only lasted a few hours and then it was gone.
