Our house is still coming along. The truss guys messed up on our trusses so that held us up for a few days and the rain didn't help either but now we have trusses and things are starting to move faster.Our windows are starting to take shape.

So I ended up changing the wood color on our cabinets. The new color is the darker bigger one on the left. It looks much better with our wood floor.

So these are the cabinet colors now but the white island wont be so white and will have some distress to it. I really hope everything looks good when I'm done.

Happy Chinese New Year!

sick of being sick!

Well as some of you know I have been sick lately. Well my teeth have been hurting for the last few days so I went to the dentist this morning. I hate going to the dentist because I have the most sensitive teeth ever. Anyway I go there and they sit me in the chair and I explain to them that I have really sensitive teeth and for them just to take an xray and see if they can see anything. The dentist comes back and says it doesn't look like I have cavities and everything looks good except he is concerned with one of my teeth. The xray shows the bone around the tooth is a bright white and the root is short and jagged and the tooth is pretty much going to fall out soon. The tooth is the 4th one back from my front right tooth. I have been having a lot of facial pressure, headaches etc.. and am going to the ear nose and throat doctor on wednesday. The dentist told me that if I don't end up having sinus problems than it's possibly the tooth that's causing all this pain and at that point it's a root canal and a fake tooth. Hopefully after I get all my tests back we can figure out what the heck is wrong with me. I can't wait until I feel 100% again.

Basketball

Tyler and Kyle are playing basketball this year. Tyler is on the Suns and Kyle is on the Jazz. They are both loving it. Here are some pictures of kyle's first game. They ended up losing but Kyle did awesome.

Avrie brought me the camera so I could take her picture with her sunglasses on.And of course Avrie had to take one of Annie also.

Have you ever been to Pirate Island Pizza? Our family went and loved it. It reminds me alot of the Pirates of the Carribean ride at Disneyland. You walk in and before you are seated there is a skeleton head and parakeet talking to each other. The restaurant is huge. The lighting is dimmed and there is even a fake ship on the wall with clouds. I thought it was a pretty cool place. They have an area with arcades for the kids and they all get little pirate hats. The food was good too. They give you these yummy homemade chips that I couldn't stop eating. Wow I'm getting hungry just talking about them. Well if you haven't tried the place head over there because it's pretty tasty and something different.I also got our wood samples yesterday. The white color will be the island and hood in the kitchen. It won't be so white and will have more of a distressed look. The brown color will be the rest of the cabinets. I am not 100% sure if I like this color or not. The other sample is the paint color for the house and I love it. I hope once we put everything together it's going to look good.

Yesterday Brad and I made a few more decisions for the new house. We chose this roof color.We chose this wood flooring. We also chose rustic cherry cabinets I should be getting those samples today. I will post them tomorrow.

Fun morning

This is what I did all morning. 4 hours of blood tests. I had my blood drawn 4 times and filled up 6 tubes with blood. I never want to do that again. They are checking me for diabetes. Let's hope I don't have it.

Logan

We went up to Logan on Saturday to Addi's baptism. After the baptism we all got together at the church and played dodge ball.

I couldn't believe how much snow there was. The kids had a blast sledding in Adam and Martha's front yard.

This picture is kind of dark but it's a picture of Tyler in the Lava hills. There are a ton by our new house.


Well hopefully my blog is not too boring for everyone. I haven't been up to much other than building our home.

These are the 2 vinyl choices for the windows. On the left is taupe and on the right is almond. We had to get the windows ordered yesterday. I went with taupe because almond looks yellow next to white and we are having white blinds. I originally wanted dark bronze but not in our budget. :( Anyway now I hope I made the right choice.

What colors are you liking the best between these 2 houses? I couldn't figure out how to get my elevations on because they are on a PDF file but a couple of posts down Annie and Avrie are holding up the plans so you can see what the exterior looks like. If you don't like either of these what colors would you do? I want honest opinions please.

Saturday

Yesterday we worked on our radiant heat. Radiant heat is an awesome thing. It's where you have pipes in the concrete floor and it heats up so you stay toasty warm. This is a picture of the licensed plumbers from Master Plumbing Systems. :)
