Busy Christmas Break!

Friday morning bright and early (7:30 am) Brad and I started working on the new house. We laid out the underground plumbing. The backhoe got there around 9:00 am and made a mess of the place.Brad with his can of paint.
Later when the kids woke up they walked over and helped. Tyler found a friend.

I have know idea what it is but I think it looks kinda creepy.

I might be updating alot on the construction of our home so hopefully everyone won't get too bored. We are excited and are hoping to build it in 4 months. We'll see.

So this morning we woke up at about 7:00. Santa found us again this year.

We made the kids stand in front of the wrapped gifts before they tore into them.

After we opened presents we headed to Brenda and Joels for waffles, ham and orange juice. Grandpa and Grandma Baker were their also. Thanks for breakfast!!! We hope everyone is having a fun Christmas. Now we are just being lazy and taking it EASY!

Christmas Eve!

Every year we let the kids open up their present from us on Christmas Eve. Its always pajamas and something. This year they also got a teddy bear.We went to Grandma and Grandpa Bakers for a Christmas Eve party. Some of them performed the Nativity.

Kyle was Joseph and Avrie was Mary. She couldn't stop smiling. Avrie had her hair pulled back out of her face but the elastic fell out while puting the towel on. Oh well. Can you tell she needs a haircut?

We had a great Christmas Eve with family. Kyle and Avrie were the last ones in bed and left Santa a banana and some milk and a note. They wanted to leave him something healthy because he always gets cookies and milk. The kids even got to bed at 9:30 and me and Brad were in bed by 11:00. I think thats a record for Christmas Eve.

Campbell Christmas Party!

We got together for the annual Campbell Christmas party last weekend. It was lots of fun. My parents went all out as usual. The first picture is in their garage. They had this cute backdrop with a cristmas tree, fireplace and talking reindeer head. Al even showed up for the party and delivered presents from Santa.

We exchanged presents and did white elephants gifts and had a yummy dinner.

We had a homemade Christmas this year. All of us gave each other homemade gifts. This is Tyler with his marshmellow gun.

Kyle loved his marshmellow gun also.

Katelyn got homemade jewerly and Annie got a cute capri sun bag.

The kids also went sledding and had so much fun!!! I didn't get a picture of that because it gets really cold in Beaver and I couldn't get myself to go outside for too long.

WE DID IT!

We finally closed on our construction loan today! I thought it would never happen because it is so hard to get a loan these days (it has taken 7 weeks). But now we can start building our home next week. Today was a good day and oh, kind of a bad one. You see we just found out that the property that we are renting is going into foreclosure. Even though we have been paying our rent the landlord hasn't been paying the mortgage. Not too awesome because we now believe we have only about 2 months before the bank boots us out. So we are looking to rent something in January. Our life is always crazy that's for sure. Oh well it can only get better, right? I took some pictures of our lot today, so here they are.

Avrie is loving preschool these days. She has been coming home everyday with cute christmas crafts, treats and wearing this. Tommorrow she gets to have a Christmas party with hot cocoa and sugar cookies. Yum!!!

One day we will get some nice professional pictures done but for now the camera propped up on the stool works just great. It's hard to get 5 kids smiling all at the same time. I love this picture of Avrie and my nice white legs!

Went to the doctor today because I have been having major headaches all week. He thinks I have either a viral or bacterial sinus infection. He prescribed some antibiotics and told me also to take Tylenol, sudafed, 2 1000mg doses of vitamin C a day and drink lots of water and get lots of rest. Yeah right. No wonder I haven't been feeling very good and have had NO Energy whatsoever. And to top it off he wants to see me in a couple of weeks for an annual exam. FUN!

Katelyns birthday

We only have friend birthday parties every other year. For katelyn's birthday this year it was supposed to be a friend party. Friend Parties just make me tired so we asked her if she would rather have a friend party or invite one friend to go with her to dinner and a movie and get $50.00. Well she decided on the money and dinner and a movie. So much better if you ask me. We took them to High School Musical 3 and the Olive Garden. She had lots of fun and says she would rather do that every time. We still had cake and ice cream for her with the family. Katelyn, Grandpa Baker and Brooklyn. Baker tradition is to have your nose buttered on your birthday. Katelyn and Brooklyns birthdays are a day apart.
