Annie and Avrie would love this room. It's got built in dressers and a cute window bench.

Cute kitchen

The dining room

I love these stairs off the entry

We have been trying to figure out where we are going to live for awhile now. Originally we were going to build a home. There are so many bank owned properties out there now we thought maybe picking one of those up. We found a cute home a block away from the house we are living in. The house is going into foreclosure so we put an offer in about 6 weeks ago. We still haven't heard back from the bank ( I've heard it can take up to 8 weeks or longer). We walked through the house again yesterday and I snapped some pictures.

The Dark Night

We went to "The Dark Night" last night with some friends. It was a really long show but had my attention the whole time. I thought it was great. Heath Ledger was really creepy looking in it though. If you havent seen this one you should.

another update

We went to the hospital today so Kyle could meet with the hand surgeon. He thinks possibly that his hand could heal on its own. He want's to look at it again in a month and have more nerve tests done. If it hasn't made any improvement by then he will need surgery. So keep him in your prayers.

About 4 weeks ago Kyle's arm was tested by the nerve specialist and the report came back that she thought their was possibly some slight nerve activity. We went back to the doctor today for his follow up. Their is still no improvement. The doctor still isn't sure what to think about it. He want's us to see a hand surgeon in the next couple of months to get a second opinion. More than likely we will be traveling somewhere up north. Our next follow up is in 8 weeks so I'm hoping we will see some changes in his arm and hand by then.

Summer school

I put Kyle, Annie and Avrie in summer school for the whole month of July. They are having the funnest time. They are reading everyday and doing book reports and doing all kinds of things. The only thing that is bad is that the school is on the other side of town ( washington fields area) but my friends have their kids in it to so we carpool which is nice. The kids have enjoyed having some structure back. School is right around the corner. We are pretty much done with all of our clothes shopping. It's nice to get that out of the way. :)

House For Sale!

My parents house is for sale. It is around 2500 square feet and has 5 bedroom and 3 baths. It has a nice big pool outside and a large shop that also has a bathroom in it. They are selling it for a great deal. They are only asking $327,500 so if anyone knows someone looking for a nice home this could be it!

Things we have been up to.

We had a fun 4th of July. We did fireworks with our good friends the Nowlings.
The kids loved the sparklers

My mom and dad and Jen's kids stayed with us one night.

Cute little cousins

Jocelyn

We went swimming at my parents old house with the fam.

Kyle, Tyler and Katelyn taking a break.

Annie and Avrie's birthdays are only 9 days apart so we had their birthday parties combined this year.

We had pizza for lunch.

We also had our waterslide set up so the kids could cool off in the 100 degree + weather.

Annie turned 6 and Avrie turned 4. No more babies at our house. I let them decorate their own cakes and they loved it.

My kids also put on a bake sale.

Here they are waiting for customers. :)
That's some of what we have been up to lately.

Phantom

Me and Brad made a quick trip to Vegas last night to pick up his parents from the airport. On the way we went to a buffet in mesquite and went to the "Phantom of the Opera" at the Venetian. It was a great show. I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.

I haven't updated forever because my computer is giving me grief. It won't let me add my pictures onto my blog. I guess I'll have to ask Brad and see if he knows how to do it. On a happier note : I got mistaken for a teenager twice this week. The first time Brad and I were at a restaurant and an older man thought that I was his daughter. Brad wasn't very happy with his comment but I was. Then on Sunday a visitor was wondering why a teenager (which was me) was teaching the sunbeams. I will take those comments all day long. I can't believe I'm going to be 34 in 2 months. I wish I was only 18.
