Story Telling Festival!
Yesterday Katelyn and Tyler participated in their school story telling festival. They had to pick a book of their choice, memorize it, add actions and tell the story in front of parents and judges. They both picked a mystery book because my kids like scary things like me. :) The judges picked two people to go to the finals. Tyler was picked as an alternate which means if someone is unable to do it, Tyler fills in for them. They both did such a good job and I'm very proud of them.

Pirate Wedding pics!
We went to a pirate wedding a couple of weeks ago in Las Vegas. I'd never been to a wedding like that before. Practically everyone was in costume - there was some pretty cool ones. It was held at a really nice place and had really good food. We had fun!!! Jack Sparrow even showed up. Thanks Brenda, for the pictures.

Hooked on Netflix!
I used to be addicted to buying movies. Any good movies from the last couple of years, you name it, I probably have it. Well see, I got in the habit of buying movies because we have a pretty cool theater room and when friends came over for a movie night I wanted to make sure we had a good selection of movies for them to watch. So, after moving all our Dvd's a few weeks ago I couldn't believe how many we had ( I stopped counting after 300.) Then the thing that made me sick was how much I must of spent buying those movies ( 300 x $20.00 = $6,000 ) and believe me I'm not proud of that. My sister in law Meagan told me about Netflix. I had heard about it before but really didn't know how it worked. Basically you can pick whatever plan you wan't. They have plans for as low as $5.00 a month. I picked the $16.00 monthly plan which basically lets me have 3 dvd's at home at a time and it is unlimited which means after I'm finished with anyone of the 3 I just drop it in the self paid envelope and the next one comes. It is so easy and the dvd's only take a couple of days to get to me. It's been great cuz now I only spend $16.00 a month instead of ALOT more. Netflix rocks!

exercise & the holidays
I've been pretty lazy lately and haven't been getting up in the mornings to exercise. The holidays are approaching quickly and I love the holidays and all the food and treats that go with it. I have realized that the older I get the harder it is to have the motivation to get out of bed in the morning. Brad and I have been walking at nights but I need to do more - like strength train. What is everyone doing for exercise? I need motivation and ideas please!

Oh, it is so nice to have the internet again. Our house closed last Thursday and we started moving out that night. We moved and cleaned over the weekend and handed over the keys to the new owners Tuesday night. It was pretty crazy. The people that bought our house only have 2 little kids - they are going to have tons of space. We had tons of space. We moved from a 4,000+ square foot home to a 2600 square foot home. Let's just say that nothing is fitting. When we bought our Santa Clara home we bought alot of new furniture so now lots of it is being stored temporarily until we decide where we are going to build next. We are enjoying living in our old house again. Since it is for sale too it's kind of a pain trying to keep it clean and clutter free though. *** Oh, I forgot to mention that on Monday night our "Master Plumbing " softball team won the championship! We got a huge trophy. It was pretty awesome. Way to go Master Plumbing!
