I went with Kyle to his doctor appointment yesterday. They took x rays of his arm and took off the wrap. I finally got to see what his arm looked like. There were 4 pins sticking out of his arm. It didn't look very pretty. The doctors had Kyle move his fingers certain ways. He still couldn't straighten his fingers or lift his wrist up and a few other things. The doctor said he doesn't like to see that so he will keep an eye on it. He said all we can do is wait because there obviously has been some nerve damage. The doctor decided to take out 1 of the pins because he thought maybe it was irritating the nerve. I thought he would give Kyle a shot or something to numb the arm because the pins are thru the bone. The doctor just grabbed a pair of pliers and pulled it out. I felt so bad for Kyle because I knew he was in pain. All of a sudden he turned pale white and I knew he was going to barf so I grabbed the closest garbage can and he did. I guess the bright side is that they put a cast on him and now he can go to school. He has been so bored and begging to go. In 3 weeks he will get his cast cut off and the remaining pins pulled out and another cast put on. Poor buddy. He is already dreading it.
On a happier note we showed our house to a family for the 3rd time so we are crossing our fingers. I'm hoping we will know either way in a week or so. :)

Just got back from a maturation class with Katelyn. Well that was kind of awkward. I can't believe I'm talking to her about periods and the birds and the bees. I was nervous at first but after about the 20th question from her I don't feel as weird but glad that it's over. But I guess it 's never really over right.

Kyle's arm!

Kyle was jumping on the couch yesterday and fell and broke his arm. It was pretty scary. It looked like his arm was on backwards because the broken bone was sticking out at the elbow. Luckily it didn't break through the skin but was very close. I think I stayed pretty calm ( at least calm for me). Brad was at work in Silver Reef so it was just me and the kids at the time. When Kyle fell I didn't think he had broken it because he just let out 1 scream but when I saw it I knew it was bad. I think I was kind of in shock at first because I called my sister Mandi and asked her where the hospital was. I do know where it is but at the time I couldn't think straight so she met me at the hospital and talked to me the whole drive there on her cell phone. He was a brave boy and didn't cry even once. After x-rays it was determined that he would need to have surgery so they could put some pins in him to get the bone stable. He can move his fingers but can't move his wrist up or fingers straight but we are hoping he will be able to soon. The doctors are keeping a close eye on that. They said sometimes it takes months. I'm hoping for sooner. After about an hour after surgery we got to take him home and had a long night ahead. Well so we aren't doing much of anything during spring break except for laying around and watching movies and Kyle won't be going to school for at least a week. I'm glad that everythings ok though and that Mandi was here to help me. :) Here is the picture of the x-ray. Brad took a picture of his arm at the hospital with his phone but I can't find the cable to get the picture on the computer so if I find it I'll put it on too.

Elevations!

We just got back our elevations for our new house. I love the way they have turned out. Now we just need to get started and be in it before Christmas! These are not the colors that are going to be on the house but these are what were sent to us. I was hoping to post a shot of the house straight on and the floorplan but I couldn't get it to work because they are a different file, anyway this is all I have for the moment.

New Years Eve!
We went to Beaver New Years Eve and had a party with my parents and Mandi and Aaron and their kids. We watched the jazz game and played games. Also Brad dared Tyler to stick his tongue on the table outside of my parents house. Beaver is really cold. Well Brad didn't think he would do it but he did and sure enough it stuck solid. It freaked Brad out and he ran in the house to get some water to pour on it. Tyler looked just like the kid from the christmas story who stuck his tongue on the flagpole. He was crying and pretty much couldn't talk. Luckily Brad poured the water on his tongue and it came off but it was really red and sore after that.Brad felt pretty bad after that. Here are some pictures of us playing Guesstures and the kids playing in the cold snow.
