Swimming

Our pool got plastered on friday and it was finally full of water at about 11:30 pm. Saturday morning the kids got up bright and early (8:00) and were ready to swim. Brad didn't have the gas hooked up yet so we new it would be very cold. They all got their swimming suits on and Brad threw them in the pool ( including me.) Oh man it was cold. I'm thinking somewhere in the 50's. Surprisingly, our kids wanted to stay in. As the day warmed up slowly our pool did too because Brad got the gas hooked up. We were basically in the pool all day. We had lots of fun. These are some pictures of the pool. The wall with the split faced marble on it is actually a planter. We are going to fill it with alot of bright colored flowers and plants. Our spa is not complete yet as well - it will be covered with split faced marble and their will be a rock slide around the back of it droping off into the pool. You guys will all have to come over and swim!

The Pool

Ok everyone the pool is almost open. I think they are going to plaster it on friday. They fill it up with water the same day they do that. I'm thinking Saturday we will be swimming! I will be excited when my backyard is finally put back together. They haven't started on the rock slide or fireplace yet but hey that won't stop us from swimming. I will post some pictures as soon as the pool gets water in it. I'm glad it will be done before school gets out. The kids have another week left of school. It will be nice to just lay out and relax in the pool by myself. I'm hoping I dare get into the pool with just my swimming suit on ( I always wear shorts and a tee shirt over my suit.) Im going to try to be brave this year. I need to order a cute suit from Abby. This year hopefully I will get a tan.

Games

My 3 oldest kids are playing baseball and Brads playing softball. Our weeks are full of games now. Monday is the only night that we don't have a game. We had 3 last night, 1 tonight, 2 tomorrow night and 1 friday night. It is alot of fun watching them but hard when they fall on the same day at the same time. I havent figured out what to make for dinner those nights either. Last year we did alot of cold cereal and fast food - but I'm sick of fast food. Does anybody have any suggestions? I need fast easy meal ideas that I can make in 30 min. or less.
