exercise & the holidays

I've been pretty lazy lately and haven't been getting up in the mornings to exercise. The holidays are approaching quickly and I love the holidays and all the food and treats that go with it. I have realized that the older I get the harder it is to have the motivation to get out of bed in the morning. Brad and I have been walking at nights but I need to do more - like strength train. What is everyone doing for exercise? I need motivation and ideas please!

Oh, it is so nice to have the internet again. Our house closed last Thursday and we started moving out that night. We moved and cleaned over the weekend and handed over the keys to the new owners Tuesday night. It was pretty crazy. The people that bought our house only have 2 little kids - they are going to have tons of space. We had tons of space. We moved from a 4,000+ square foot home to a 2600 square foot home. Let's just say that nothing is fitting. When we bought our Santa Clara home we bought alot of new furniture so now lots of it is being stored temporarily until we decide where we are going to build next. We are enjoying living in our old house again. Since it is for sale too it's kind of a pain trying to keep it clean and clutter free though. *** Oh, I forgot to mention that on Monday night our "Master Plumbing " softball team won the championship! We got a huge trophy. It was pretty awesome. Way to go Master Plumbing!

Scary Edgar!

So I've been getting excited for Halloween. I love Halloween. I think I get it from my dad. I love to watch horror movies and scare myself to death and also love to scare other people - sometimes even my kids. Me and Avrie went to Walmart the other day to find pirate costumes for me and Brad because we are going to a pirate wedding in October. We made ourselves to the Halloween isle and they had this freaky little man that talks and takes his head off. Avrie hated the thing and screamed until we couldn't see him anymore. So we get home and I remember that I bought a life sized freaky butler guy last year for Halloween who we call Edgar. Last year Avrie wasn't totally scared of him so I thought I'd get him out and see what would happen. I put Edgar in the entry by the stairs. Avrie wouldn't even go upstairs. After a few hours of that we decided to put Edgar in the garage until she got used to him. Well that was a joke. She wouldn't go in the garage. I had to pick her up to take her to school at the front door and when we returned home she screamed "don't go in the garage, drop me off at the front door!" After a full day of us coming and going and having to pick her up and drop her off at the front door we put Edgar back in his box. Now when she goes in the garage she says "mom, is Edgar in the box." I don't think Edgar is getting out of his box again this year.

Moving?!?!

We have had our house up for sale since July. Today we think that we have sold it as long as everything goes as planned. We have to be out of our house on Oct. 8th. Thats really not to far away. We are going to move to our other house ( thats for sale also ) and then going to build again. We don't really know where we are going to build, but hey it should be fun. We will miss our ward and our house though.

Wow, it's been forever since I've updated! We have had a fun last few weeks! We had the Baker reunion on beaver mountain the first week of August ( that was lots of fun.) We all got together at our house for a fun family swim party and got to see Ben and Jill while they were down. It was also fun to see Chrissy and Tamron and Phoebe again. The kids started school on the 15th and have been busy. Katelyn is in 4th grade, Tyler is in 3rd, Kyle is in 1st, Annie is in kindergarten. Avrie starts pre-school next week. I have know idea what I'm going to do with all of my free time. It's kind of wierd that they are getting so big! They have also been keeping busy with other activities. Katelyn is taking gymnastics , choir and voice lessons and piano, Tyler is taking gymnastics, choir and piano, Kyle is taking gymnastics and piano and Annie is taking ballet. Grandma Baker is giving them piano lessons so they are enjoying it. Well thats all that we have been up to. Hopefully I can update again soon. :)
