Avrie and her Scrapbook!

Avrie did the cutest thing last night. Some of the kids got down their picture books down to look at. Most of you know that when it comes to scrapbooking I pretty much suck at it. Well Avrie got down her generic wal-mart picture book and noticed there was no pictures in it so she immediately started drawing pictures of herself to put in her book. I thought it was so cute but realized I need to do better. Poor kid - the 5th child always gets shafted.

Baker Party!

We had a fun party at Jason and Heidi's last week. All of the Bakers were there. There was 4 wheeling, gun shooting, crafts, games and lots of yummy food. Thanks Jason and Heidi for all the FUN!!!

This is a sweet picture of Mindy and Sophee.

New Years Eve!

For New Years we had the Andrus' over. We played games and ate like big pigs.
After playing around on Katelyn's Ripstick Brad decided to play Joel a game of connect four. Joel won Brad I think 7 out of 8.

Megan and Avrie playing UNO

Later we played a game of Cranium.

It was the Bakers against the Andrus'

And I can't remember who won.

Play doh was also brought out.

And even later that night to bring in the new year we went and saw the fireworks . May we all have a great 2009!

We love our lot

We have spent every single night at the lot ever since we have started construction. Yah, we are a little bit excited to finally be building a home.
The Andrus' (Brad's sister Brenda and fam) are building right next to us in this little circle. The kids have had fun being able to have lots more room to play. We are the first 2 houses going in the subdivision so they have tons of room!

Playing a game of baseball.

Annie of course mothering Avrie, Megan and Kyle.

Santa brought the kids this basketball hoop so they could practice for their games.

The house is coming along well. We are doing radiant heat this weekend and then the pad will be poured hopefully Monday or Tuesday. We should start framing by the end of next week. Hip, hip hooray!!!

Busy Christmas Break!

Friday morning bright and early (7:30 am) Brad and I started working on the new house. We laid out the underground plumbing. The backhoe got there around 9:00 am and made a mess of the place.Brad with his can of paint.
Later when the kids woke up they walked over and helped. Tyler found a friend.

I have know idea what it is but I think it looks kinda creepy.

Brad glad that he is almost done.

Avrie and Annie holding up the house elevations.

And the underground plumbing is all done!

I might be updating alot on the construction of our home so hopefully everyone won't get too bored. We are excited and are hoping to build it in 4 months. We'll see.

Merry Christmas!!!

So this morning we woke up at about 7:00. Santa found us again this year.

We made the kids stand in front of the wrapped gifts before they tore into them.

Our tree with no more presents underneath.

Brad got a rifle for Christmas and I got this pistol.

A few of everyones favorites:
Katelyn: Ripstick
Tyler: Starwars lego set
Kyle: Starwars lego set
Annie: Easy bake oven
Avrie: baby doll
After we opened presents we headed to Brenda and Joels for waffles, ham and orange juice. Grandpa and Grandma Baker were their also. Thanks for breakfast!!! We hope everyone is having a fun Christmas. Now we are just being lazy and taking it EASY!

Christmas Eve!

Every year we let the kids open up their present from us on Christmas Eve. Its always pajamas and something. This year they also got a teddy bear.We went to Grandma and Grandpa Bakers for a Christmas Eve party. Some of them performed the Nativity.

Here are the cute angels: Courtney, Brenda, Luke and Grandma Baker.

Kyle was Joseph and Avrie was Mary. She couldn't stop smiling. Avrie had her hair pulled back out of her face but the elastic fell out while puting the towel on. Oh well. Can you tell she needs a haircut?

Annie getting ready to play "Jolly Old Saint Nicholaus"

We had a great Christmas Eve with family. Kyle and Avrie were the last ones in bed and left Santa a banana and some milk and a note. They wanted to leave him something healthy because he always gets cookies and milk. The kids even got to bed at 9:30 and me and Brad were in bed by 11:00. I think thats a record for Christmas Eve.
